Overview

Laundry aides oversee the operation of hotel laundry as well as liaise with the outsource laundry company. Laundry workers should understand the different techniques to wash and dry fabrics and materials of various colors, materials and sizes. They also may mark, sort, hang or fold articles before or after washing and drying.

Responsibilities

• Sort all linens and treat stains
• dispatch and receive laundry from outsource company
• Load all laundry in-house laundry into washer and add specified cleaning agents
• Take wet, clean items and dry as directed
• able to perform urgent guest laundry services including spot removal, cleaning and dry-cleaning
• Sort and fold or hang clean dried items
• Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies and communicate needs to Director of housekeeping
• Maintaining all laundry equipment and inform Director of housekeeping  as to any maintenance needs of all infuse laundry equipment
• Perform additional laundry services when necessary

Requirements

• Must be able to lift 20 pounds on a consistent basis
• Experience required
• Flexible schedule and reliable
• Must be a fast pace worker and work well with others
• Multi-tasking skills
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
